Roberto Cassaglia

Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology (2016), Faculty Degree of Middle, Normal and Special Education in Sociology (2021), Master in Latin American Social Studies (2021) and Ph. D in Social Sciences (2023) for the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Buenos Aires (UBA). He has specialized in the field of historical sociology of Latin America and the study of elites as a researcher at the Institute of Latin American and Caribbean Studies (IEALC) and the Electoral Observatory of Latin America (OBLAT) and member of the Group of Studies of Historical Sociology of Latin America (GESHAL), in addition to several research projects within the framework of the Faculty of Social Sciences (UBA) where he also works as a teacher. He was a doctoral fellow of the National Council of Scientific and Technical Research of Argentina (CONICET) between 2018 and 2024.

Project

The project proposes to study comparatively the relationship between the economic elites linked to agricultural and agro-industrial activity from Argentina, Brazil and Mexico and the state during the periods of neoliberal reforms (1988-2000) and the late neoliberalism of the 21st century (2000-2019).
