I am a young researcher and a doctoral student in the Territorial Development program at the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (FLACSO por sus siglas en español) Ecuador Headquarters. Additionally, I hold a professional background in gender and development studies with experience in empirical social research. I am interested in the multidisciplinarity of analyzing and studying the complex and ever-changing social reality. My lines of research are within the framework of territorial development, territorial studies, and territorial dynamics. Currently, I am a member of the research team at FLACSO Ecuador working on the project "Turning Land into Capital. Historical Periods of the (Re-)Production of Wealth in Latin America from the 19th to the 21st Century (2023-2027)."
The project studies the role of landowning elites in Ecuador and Colombia in land use planning processes and territorial development strategies.
