
Andrés Jiménez Corrales is a geographer and is currently a PhD student in Sociology at the Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF) in Brazil. He holds a bachelor's and master's degree in Geography from the University of Costa Rica (UCR). He worked since 2016 as a researcher at the Institute of Social Research and as a teacher at the School of Geography, School of Architecture and Department of Environmental Health, University of Costa Rica. He has more than 18 publications among them, one self-authored book, three book chapters, 14 articles in academic journals. He has experience coordinating research teams and projects at the University of Costa Rica. His line of research revolves around territorial production and transformation by projects and policies in Costa Rica and Central America, as well as the study of territorial inequalities and production of scales in capitalism.
