Carlos Alexis Flores Cancino

Bachelor in Education and Professor of History, Geography and Social Sciences for the Universidad Autónoma de Chile. Currently conducting postgraduate studies in Master’s degree of History and Memory in Universidad Nacional de La Plata (UNLP) and also Doctorate in Territorial Studies in Universidad Nacional de Quilmes (UNQ). Member of the Studies Centre of the Rural Argentina. At present his line of research focuses in environment history, with special interest in configuration of relationship between society and nature in the recent past starting from a critical perspective.

Project

The project identifies the establishment of "silviculture" as a specific model for the transformation of land into capital in the Southern Cone countries and its ecological transformation of the landscape.
